Welcome to the Liberty Farm website and the first posting in the Farm Journal. We have had a rather rainy spring here in Bentonville, making for challenging planting. Last week, however, the soil was dry enough to work and we got lots of things started. The tomatoes are thriving and blossoming. Spinach, Swiss chard, green beans, radishes, cauliflower, broccoli, and peas are all coming up and doing well. Flowers started sprouting today.
I moved the cattle yesterday into the alfalfa, clover, and grass fields. They are looking fat and happy today.
The next few days are dedicated to building the new mobile chicken house for the 100 layers that will arrive soon. We hope to have plenty of eggs by the Fourth of July.
